Toni Reavis, Analyst & TV Commentator

Toni Reavis

Through his pioneering radio show in 1977, Toni Reavis encouraged people to “create events that inspire” and to help combat childhood obesity by creating a new generation of distance running heroes. In a 2008 address at the Road Race Management conference, he explained that the emphasis on participation statistics and charity fundraising overlooked the vital aspect of creating inspiring images in the minds of the public. This less than popular sentiment is characteristic of Toni Reavis’ willingness to speak his mind based on carefully developed conclusions and always for the good of running.

For many years, he has been one of the sport's main voices and has carried the message of running to all corners of America and beyond.

Toni has earned four regional Emmy Awards and was named “the best television running analyst” by Runner’s World magazine, which referred to him as “the most insightful – and funny – talking head in running.” There is much more than a head – there’s also a great heart in exactly the right place and Running is much the better for both.
